Our group was started by Mr Alan Doherty, a leading consultant urologist and is open to all patients and relatives of those affected by Prostate Cancer. Established in 2006 we seek to promote the following aims: To help and support men with Prostate Cancer and those who care for them, their partners, families, their friends and the bereaved through Prostate cancer. To help raise public awareness of Prostate cancer. To provide education and information about Prostate cancer to men vulnerable to or with Prostate cancer and their supporters.
Cancer type(s):

We have presentations at all our monthly meetings from Urologists, Oncologists and other healthcare professionals from local hospitals and also from other supporting medical bodies responsible in treating and providing services to help men affected by Prostate cancer. The group is very proactive and we frequently exceed 50+ people at our meetings. We meet on the last Tuesday of each month, except December. Meetings commence at 6:30pm with tea and coffee served from 6.15pm. We are an affiliated member organisation of both Prostate Cancer UK and The National Federation of Prostate Cancer Support Groups.
